Your first time sounding can be a VERY intimidating experience, so Miss Emily is here to help guide you through- safely! Key tips: remember to take it slow and use LOTS of lube! You will need: a proper sounding kit, latex or nitrile gloves, and sterile lube. Remember to sterilize your genital area beforehand, and your equipment before and after! Boiling is the most accessible method, and while an autoclave is best, metricide and cavicide are also very effective products for equipment sterilization, followed by hydrogen peroxide and iodine! I also highly recommend sterilizing the genital area and urethra with iodine beforehand. Remember to follow all health and allergy instructions for any product you choose to use, as well.
