1080p, 720p, 480p Today's Show, Monday October 4, 2021, , , Transcript: Show Welcome to Naked News, I'm Eila Adams. As it turns out, you shouldn't flaunt it if you got it. At least, not if you're an NFL player. There will be no more flexing on your opponent after a big run and no more excessive trash talk on the field. Frankie's starting things off today in Sports with why the NFL is cracking down on taunting. Critics often like to joke that NFL stands for "No Fun League". and with the NFL's new taunting policy this season, there are LOTS of critics. Technically, this isn't a new rule, but the league's competition committee has asked for officiating crews to enforce it more strictly. The hope is to get some of the trash-talking and flexing out of the game, and many think the move was inspired by this moment from Super Bowl 55. Got to admit, that does seem to be a pretty clear case of taunting, and the NFL is basically making the distinction this way: a taunt is aimed DIRECTLY at an opposing player, while a celebration isn't. So in theory, celebrations shouldn't decrease if they're done right. However, if something is deemed a taunt, the offending player will get hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, costing their team fifteen yards. Not to mention possible fines or suspension! So at best, this'll have a cooling effect on ALL celebrations, and at worst, you'll see a lot of garbage calls! So far, the online reaction has been nearly universally opposed. And many have even argued the policy shift is Orwellian, and just a way for the NFL to show it can make its players "behave." Personally, I don't know about all that. but what I do know is, given a choice between too boring and too `in your face', I'll be up in your grill every time! For Naked News, I'm Frankie Kennedy. Remember back in 2016, when journalists from around the world brought us shocking revelations culled from a massive data leak, and it was called the Panama Papers? Oops, they did it again... only this time, it's more shocking, more massive, and has a sexier name! Let's dive into what's been dubbed the Pandora Papers! It's no surprise rich people look for ways to evade taxes and sometimes to conceal shady dealings. But this report shows SPECIFICALLY how hundreds of them used offshore accounts to hide assets worth TRILLIONS of dollars. Making it even more scandalous, over three-hundred-and-thirty current and former politicians have been revealed as beneficiaries of PREVIOUSLY secret accounts. Including the presidents of Ecuador and Kenya, the Czech Republic's Prime Minister, and associates of Vladimir Putin. If that sounds like a lot of dirt, understand that this was no small undertaking. The Pandora Papers are the work of six hundred journalists from a hundred-and-fifty media outlets in a hundred-and-seventeen countries. And they had to sift through TWELVE MILLION files obtained from fourteen firms around the world. It was nearly three TERABYTES of data, or the equivalent of seven-hundred-and-fifty-thousand pics on your phone! Among all the exposed politicians, one that caught our attention is former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. In 2017, he and his wife bought an eight-point-eight million dollar Victorian building in London by acquiring the British Virgin Islands company that held it. It's been shown that by buying the company rather than the building itself, the Blairs dodged more than four hundred thousand dollars in property taxes. Cherie Blair, who has her law firm there, has said her husband wasn't involved in the purchase. And that she didn't want to own the company, but that the seller insisted upon it. Well, all I can say is it's a good thing Tony's not running for anything any time soon! For sure! Though I think the real takeaway here is that it's a SYSTEMIC problem worldwide. Agreed. If any rich people are watching, pay your taxes, save the planet! Thanks, Isabella. We'll be getting more from Isabella in just a bit. But now, let's go where fashion sits! It's time for Alana to give you some bonus beauties from the world of Entertainment, starting with a fashion show pic that's causing quite a stir! Vanessa Hudgens recently rocked some Savage X Fenty for Rihanna, and looked absolutely delicious doing it. SO DELICIOUS in fact, that some people couldn’t believe it, literally! Many started speculating that the High School Musical star may have gotten breast implants… and all we’ll say is whatever she’s doing, it’s working! Camila Cabello may now be known to many as Cinderella, but clearly she doesn’t need a fancy gown from a fairy godmother to turn heads! In fact, less clothes might be more, as the yellow thong bikini she wore to a Miami beach recently clearly made waves! I’m gonna need one CC, stat! There are lots of reasons I hope to get invited to Heidi Klum’s house someday, but here’s a big one: it looks like she sunbathes naked in her backyard! Alas, the picture’s in black and white, so there’s no way to be certain how good her tan was… but look, Ma, no lines! Sometimes, nothing I can say about a post will top what the poster said themselves. So please enjoy these videos of Amber Rose while I read her perfect caption: “When you can finally breathe the air of Hoe life again!” Breathe her in deep, everyone, ‘cause poetry be damned, an Amber Rose of any other name WOULDN’T smell as sweet! And finally, Gabrielle Union-Wade is someone we’ll watch in anything… and that now includes a window! In the caption for this Instagram video, she claims she’s “giving strong dancing cricket vibes”, but trust me, given her wardrobe, you won’t be bugged watching! All right, that was Entertainment... and I hope you liked that mini-movie, because we’re about to preview a longer one for you! As you know, we've got quite a few vegans here at Naked News, and it seems like the number just keeps growing. And dietary choices like veganism are the basis of a fascinating new documentary that details the relationship between what we eat and the future of the planet. Shannon's next with a preview. There are basically two reasons people choose a vegan lifestyle other than simply loving animals. First, because factory farming for a huge population is bad for the environment. And second, because of the health benefits of a plant-based diet. The new documentary, "Eating Our Way To Extinction" is taking a good hard look at the those two reasons, and hoping to show people how to help the planet AND themselves. Narrated by Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet and featuring a host of experts and celebrities, the doc travels the world to show the effects of industrial farming. From the destruction of rainforests to global warming to turning the seas into dumping grounds, the ramifications are everywhere. Eating Our Way To Extinction doesn't just offer up scare tactics without solutions, though. The filmmakers have partnered with foundations and companies working for change. They've also created the "Eating for Tomorrow" Meal Planner that offers subscription-based support and resources to help people switch to a plant-based lifestyle. You can stream Eating Our Way To Extinction now on Amazon, Google Play, YouTube, and Vudu - and maybe take the first steps on YOUR journey to going vegan! For Naked News, I'm Shannon Blake. We all know natural disasters are wreaking havoc around the world, but sadly, there's also no shortage of man-made disasters. Right now, it's a massive oil leak off the California coast. Isabella's back in the Naked Newsroom with the details. Eila, it's being called an "environmental catastrophe", as an estimated hundred and twenty six thousand gallons of oil is washing ashore in Huntington Beach. The spill is from a broken pipeline connected to an oil platform about three miles offshore. Officials are scrambling to try to protect the area's endangered marine life and sensitive marshland, by using floating barriers and skimmers. Roughly four miles of the coast have been closed to the public, and could stay closed for weeks or even months. The notorious Facebook whistleblower revealed her identity on "60 Minutes" Sunday night. Turns out she's a former product manager for the company's civic misinformation team! Her revelations to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Wall Street Journal alleging Facebook knew about and actively hid negative info from investors rocked the social media giant last month. In her 60 Minutes interview, she said that Facebook chose its profits over public safety. And finally, accounting and consulting company PricewaterhouseCoopers has announced that forty thousand of its US-based service employees will be allowed to work from home! The change affects staff who work with clients, like consultants and auditors, but not IT and workplace services teams. The company says the change will help them hire and retain top talent in a changing work environment. Those are today's headlines! For Naked News, I'm Isabella Rossini. I can see accountants wanting to work from home, but I have to say that there's nothing like in-studio when your co-workers are naked! Thanks again, Isabella! That brings us to the end of today's program, but fear not, because we've got another of our great Discussion editions in store for you tomorrow! Isabella, Madison, Tia, and Shannon will be taking on topics from online security to sexual fantasies, so be SURE to tune in! Until then, why not keep in touch with us?
